In a meeting of Asharqia Chamber on
Tuesday
Head of the Saudi Council of
Engineers in the Eastern Region Branch Engineer Abdul Latif Al Absi said that the committee is professional
scientific aims at improving the profession of engineering and all that would
develop and raise the level of the profession and its employees.
Al Absi said in the monthly Tuesday meeting , which was held
Tuesday October 4, 2016 at the Chamber main headquarters in Dammam, that of the
most prominent functions of the committee
is to set the basics and standards of the professional practice and
development, including the license conditions and the development of rules for
professional grading and preparation of studies, research and organizing
courses and seminars and conferences related to the profession and to present
the technical advice in the field of its specialty in accordance with the rules
recognized by the council of Directors of the committee.
Al Absi said in the meeting, chaired by
Secretary General of the Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel, and was
attended by the Member Najib bin
Abdullah Alssehati was attended by a number of businessmen and interested
figures, that the branch is seeking to
achieve cooperation with in the business sector in the region to serve the two
sides and the rise in the profession of engineering, explaining that the branch
helped to reveal many of irregularities related
to academic diplomas.
Regarding the missions of the of the committee branch in the region Al Absi said that the
branch contributes to the progress of professional practice standards and improvement
of social and professional relationships between the members of the in the
Branch area work, and evaluating the membership services, qualification for
the professional approval, and also provide technical, administrative and
financial support to the engineers and
committees and facilitate their working procedures and following up issues and
disputes and carry out professional approval for engineers.
Regarding the professional approval Al Absi said that
it aims to Scientific Certification auditing ,validating and preparing ,
testing and interviews for professional engineers and classification of
engineers, according to the professional degrees according to their abilities,
professionalism, and following continued
professional improvement for engineers before the promotion and communicating
with professional and international committees to improve professional work. also he explained
that engineering offices aim to organize the practice of the engineering
profession and licenses for engineering works and the application of the system
qualifies licenses to practice engineering activity licensed according to the
engineering field, and determines the engineering fees and figuring out solutions
to the unification according to the engineering field and category.
About the required conditions for acquiring
an engineering office he explained that the owner should be of a Saudi nationality and a full time
free to the application completely, should have obtained a diploma from a recognized
Institution or of any other certificate equation in one of the engineering specialty,
also the approved work experience not
less than five years.
Absi pointed to the membership benefits
to the Committee as a sense of belonging to a professional community and
communicating with members of various categories, and to participate in the
membership of the engineering divisions and administrative structures, and
priority in ending the registration process and the professional classification
after the approval of qualifications rules and the approval of professional engineering and
technical courses that are attended by the member, and getting a reduction the fees of training courses,seminars, professional
conferences and meetings organized by the Committee or any other parties of the,
in addition to several other advantages.
Regarding the goals of the engineering sections
,Al Absi said that it enables sub engineering specialties interacting together,
and to study the latest updates in science engineering specialist, and the
establishment of specialized scientific events and participate in, and achieving
the cooperation with local and international universities.
Al Absi
said that the branch of the Committee has set up several job training programs
and workshops also participated in many courses and seminars aim at achieving competencies
capacity development and contributes in
raising the level of engineering education to achieve compatibility between the
out comings and the labor market, and improvinh the capabilities of engineers training and qualification to enable them to
practice effectively.
In the end the Member of the administration Najib Al Sehati honored the head of
the Saudi Council of Engineers Branch Engineer Abdul Latif Al Absi
with a memorial shield.
